Maryland Boat Bill of Sale

To show that a vessel has been legally transferred from a dealer to an individual or from one private party to another through trade, sale, or purchase, a Maryland boat bill of sale is drawn. The form, which is necessary for the registration, entails valid data with respect to the person purchasing the vessel, the person selling the vessel, and the vessel itself. The merchant or private party selling the vessel must imprint their signature on the bill of sale.

Boat Registration

In Maryland, after the purchase of a boat, the new owner is to register it within thirty (30) days. When registration expires, it can be renewed online via eStores providing licensing and registration services in Maryland. Such online stores include the DNR and the Maryland Department Of Transportation MVA eStore. This renewal can also be done physically by going to the DNR service center.

Note: DNR is also known as the Department of natural resources.

For initial registration of a vessel, a person can send a mail to the Maryland DNR service center or submit the mail directly/by themselves
