A Hawaii bill of sale form is a legally binding document that serves as proof that a transaction (buying and selling, or ownership transfer) has taken place. It can range from a vehicle, a boat, a firearm, or other forms of personal property like jewelry, bikes, heirlooms, etc and is between two or more individuals or entities. Depending on the transaction, the document may need to be notarized so keep that in mind before signing it.
Boat bill of sale - A bill of sale that is used to serve as proof of transaction between the buyer and seller when a boat is changing ownership.
Firearm bill of sale - Used between a registered firearm dealer and an individual or two individuals to serve as proof of the transaction.
Vehicle bill of sale - When a car dealership and an individual or two individuals perform a transaction that involved transferring ownership of a vehicle then this bill of sale is used.
General bill of sale - Used to serve as proof of the purchase and sale of personal property of varying types.

The odometer disclosure statement - especially if the vehicle is under 16,000 pounds and manufactured within the last 20 years.

The vehicle registration from the previous owner of the vehicle
Drivers license that’s up to date

Proof of insurance in the state of Hawaii
If applicable, you may need a motor vehicle power of attorney
A duly completed bill of sale

The original certificate of title when no bill of sale exists. This usually applies when transferring a boat from outside the state.
If it’s a new boat then you’ll need the manufacturer’s certificate of origin
